Isordil Drug Uses
Isordil is used in the prevention of
angina pectoris.
How Taken
Tablets or capsules need to be taken with empty stomach.
Tablets which are chewable should be thoroughly chewed then held within the mouth for a few minutes.
Warnings&Precautions
Isordil can cause severely low blood pressure and standing quickly could cause marked dizziness.
Use caution if you suffer from low blood pressure or are taking any diuretic medications.
If you have ever had an allergic reaction to any
other nitrates you should not take this medication.
Missed Dose
Take the dosage as soon as remembered.
Possible Side Effects of Isordil
Most common of all side effects on Isordil is headaches which can be relieved with taking aspirin or acetaminophin.
This side effect should level itself out after a few weeks of taking Isordil.
Storage
Isordil should be kept room temperature and out of reach from pets or children.
Isordil Overdose
If an overdose of Isordil is suspected then you should call immediately for emergency medical care.
More Information
When stopping Isordil your physician must put you on a gradually planned schedule of withdrawal from it.
If you have glaucoma, anemia, heart disease, thyroid disease or low blood pressure caution must
be used when taking Isordil.
