Lasix (Furosemide, Frusemide) Uses
Lasix is used in the treatment
of fluid retention or edema in patients who have kidney disease,
nephritic syndrome, congestive heart failure,
liver disease and hypertension. It is a water pill (diuretic).
How Taken
Take Lasix as prescribed by your physician.
Warnings/Precautions
If you are having problems urinating then you should not take this drug. You will need to have
regular blood tests done while taking Lasix.
Missed Dose
A dosing schedule may not be needed; Lasix is often used only once. If you are on a regular
dose schedule then take missed dose when remembered.
Generic Lasix - Possible Side Effects
Vision blurred, nausea, headache, constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, feelings of burning,
tingling or numbness are all possible side effects
of Lasix.
Storage
Keep Lasix at the room temperature far from light, moisture or heat.
Overdose
If suspected overdose of Lasix call emergency medical care as soon as possible for treatment.

Dehydration can happen while using Lasix, plenty of fluids should be drank to ensure you
will not become dehydrated. You need to use a SPF 15 minimum and wear clothing to protect
yourself against sunburn as this medicine causes sensitivity to sunlight.
