is used in the treatment of tuberculosis. It is an antibiotic.
How Taken
Myambutol should be taken exactly as prescribed and with a glass full of water.
Warnings/Precautions
Myambutol should be taken until completely finished, even if symptoms have improved,
the infection could still be present. If you experience any changes of vision or
rash contact your physician immediately.
Myambutol Missed Dose
Take missed dosage of Myambutol when it is remembered. If missed dosage is close to the next
dosage then skip and take at the next regular dosage time. Never take double dosages.
Myambutol Side Effects
Pain in abdomen, nausea, stomach upset, dizziness, headache, gout worsens and
painful joints are all possible side effects of Myambutol.
Storage
Myambutol needs to stored room temperature.
Overdose
If an overdose is suspected of Myambutol call for emergency medical care immediately.
More Information
Antacids should not be taken while on Myambutol, they may decrease this drugs effectiveness.
Speak with your physician before mixing any other medications with this medication including mineral
and vitamin supplements. No restriction on beverages or food is needed while on Myambutol.
