Generic Prandin
(Generic name: Repaglinide)
Prandin Uses
Generic Prandin (Repaglinide) is used to treat high levels of blood triglycerides.
Usually prescribed after other treatment, such as diet, weight loss,
exercise, and control of diabetes have failed.
How Taken
Adults should take 600mg twice per day approximately 30 minutes to one hour before morning and evening meals.
Prandin Precautions
Generic Prandin may cause more adverse reactions in those patients over the age of 60.
Do not drive or perform hazardous tasks until it is determined how the drug will affect you.
Alcohol may increase the likelihood and severity of side effects such as drowsiness and confusion.
Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember, unless it is within two hours of the next dose.
If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
Possible Side Effects
Muscle aches and tenderness, crampy abdominal pain especially in the area under the ribs on
the right side, with nausea and vomiting are considered serious side effects and should be
reported to your doctor immediately. Diarrhea, gas and nausea are considered less serious,
but more common side effects.
Prandin Storage
Store in a tightly sealed container and keep away from heat, moisture and direct light.

No known symptoms reported.
