(Generic name: Ranitidine)
Zantac Uses
Generic Zantac (Ranitidine) is used to treat ulcers of the stomach and duodenum, conditions
that cause increased stomach acid production resulting in heartburn.
How Taken
Adults should take 150mg twice per day in the morning and at bedtime or
300mg once a day, preferably before bedtime.
Zantac Precautions
Adverse reactions may be more likely or more sever in patients over sixty.
Do not drive or operate machinery until it is determined how the drug will affect you.
Drink alcohol in careful moderation if at all as Generic Zantac can interact with
alcohol and be reduced in effectiveness.

time for your next regularly scheduled dose. In that case, skip the dose and resume
your regular dosage schedule. Do not double the next dose.
Zantac Side Effects
Irregular heart rhythm (palpitations) slowed heartbeat, severe blood problems
resulting in unusual bleeding, bruising, fever; chills and an increased susceptibility
to infection are serious side effects. Report any unusual developments to your doctor.
Storage
Store in tightly sealed container and keep away from heat and direct light.
Refrigerate, but do not allow the liquid forms to freeze.
Zantac Overdose
Vomiting, diarrhea, breathing problems, slurred speech, rapid heartbeat and delirium
indicate an overdose has been ingested. Seek emergency medical treatment as soon as possible.
More Information
