Zithromax Uses
Generic Zithromax (Azithromycin)
is used to treat various bacterial infections, particularly
of the sinuses, throat and respiratory tract, infections of the ear and venereal
disease due to chlamydial and chancroid infection, skin infections and diarrhea
associated with the bacteria that cause food poisoning.
How Taken
Adults should 500mg in a single dose on the first day (2 capsules) then 250mg
(one capsule) per day for the remaining four days of therapy.
Zithromax Precautions
Adverse reactions may be more likely and more severe in older patients.
Do not drive until it is determined how Generic Zithromax will affect you.
Avoid alcohol.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is close to the
time for your next regularly scheduled dose. In that case, skip the dose and
resume your regular dosage schedule. Do not double the next dose.
Zithromax Side Effects
Breathing difficulty, fever, hives, itching, skin rash, swelling of face,
mouth, lips, throat or tongue, sweating, yellowish discoloration of the eyes
or skin may be signs of a rare, but potentially serious allergic reaction.
Alert your doctor to these conditions.
Storage
Store in tightly sealed container and keep away from heat and direct light.

Take generic Zithromax
on an empty stomach or at least one hour before,
or two hours after eating. Drink plenty of fluids to avoid stomach upset.
