Actonel Uses
Actonel is used for the treatment of bone loss and to treat or prevent osteoporosis caused by cortisone
related medications.
How Taken
Generic Actonel should be taken in 5mg tablets once a day or 35mg once a week with 6 to 8 ounces of water.
Actonel should be taken first thing in the morning.
Warnings/Precautions
Do not take Actonel with food or milk as these, along with other minerals reduce
the absorption of Generic Actonel and will result in a reduced effect.
DO not lie down for up to 30 minutes after taking Actonel as the pill may stick to the esphosegus.
Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember.
If it is close to your next dose, skip the missed does and resume your normal schedule. Do not exceed the maximum dose.
Possible Side Effects
Generic Actonel is generally well tolerated.
The most common side effect of taking Actonel is headache, joint pain, diarrhea, abdominal pain, rash, and nausea.
Storage
Store in tightly sealed container and keep away from heat and direct light.
Overdose Generic Actonel
There are no known cases of overdose reported.
