Drug Uses
Generic Bentyl is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome and to reduce the spasms of the digestive system,
bladder and urethra.
How Taken
Adults should take 10 to 20mg three to four times per day.
Warnings Bentyl
Bentyl may cause more adverse reactions in those patients over the age of 60.
Do not drive or perform hazardous tasks until it is determined how the drug will affect you.
Alcohol may increase the likelihood and severity of side effects such as drowsiness and confusion.
Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember unless the next scheduled dose is within the next two hours.
If so, do not take the missed dose. Skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
Do not double the next dose.
Possible Side Effects
No serious side effects are associated with generic bentyl. However, headache, dizziness, constipation, dry mouth,
nose, throat or skin and difficulty urinating and palpitations are all common side effects ad must be tolerated.
Storage
Store in a tightly sealed container and keep away from heat, moisture and direct light.
Generic Bentyl - Overdose
Blurred vision, dilated pupils, dizziness rapid pulse, hot, dry skin, slurred speech and confusion,
nausea, and loss of consciousness may indicate that an overdose has been administered.
Seek medical assistance immediately.
More Information
You may not be able to take Generic Bentyl if you have intestinal problems, heart disease,
bleeding problems, glaucoma, chronic bronchitis, an enlarged prostrate, a hernia, liver disease,
kidney disease or an overactive thyroid.
