Generic Colace
is used to prevent constipation for persons recovering
from rectal or heart surgery, or women who experience constipation after childbirth.
How Taken
50 to 500mg once a day until the bowel movements return to normal.
Warnings/Precautions
When taken as prescribed, Generic Colace should not interefer with your daily routine.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of Generic Colace, take it as soon as you
remember, unless it’s time for your next schedule dose.
In this case, skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule.
Possible Side Effects
Sever cramping can indicate a serious side effect and should be
reported to your doctor immediately. Stop taking Generic Colace and follow your doctor’s instruction.
Storage
Store in a tightly sealed container away from heat and direct light.
Overdose
If you suspect an overdose might have been ingested, seek medical assistance.
Indications of an overdose may include weakness, sweating,
muscle cramps and an irregular heart beat.
More Information
Generic Colace can not by used by those with intestinal obstructions or appendicitis.
Symptoms of these conditions include vomiting, abdominal rigidity and
tenderness along with fever. Call your doctor immediately
if you experience any of these conditions.
