Generic Evista
(Generic name: Raloxifene)
Drug Uses
Generic Evista is used to treat and prevent osteoporosis by reducing bone loss and building back up density.
How Taken
Adults should take one tablet 60mg of Evista once a day, with or without food.
Warnings/Precautions
Generic Evista promotes clot formation and should not be taken by those paitents who have a history of blood disorders,
those taking blood thinners, congestive heart failure, a liver condition or cancer.
If you have low triglyceride levels, consult your doctor before taking this medication because
Evista will lower triglyceride levels.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is close to the time for your next dose.
In that case skip the missed dose and resume your normal dosing schedule.
Generic Evista - Side Effects
Evista will lower your cholesterol; however, serious, undesired side effects can·t be predicted.
If you experience any undesired side effects, notify your doctor right away.
Some common side effects of taking Evista are abdominal pain, arthritis, breast pain, bronchitis,
depression, diarrhea, dizziness, fever, flu symptoms, gas, headache, hot flashes, increased cough,
indigestion, infection, insomnia, joint pain, leg cramps, muscle ache, nasal inflammation, rash,
sinusitis, sore throat, stomach and intestinal problems, swelling, uterine discharge,
vomiting and weight gain.
Storage
Store medication away in a tightly sealed container away from heat and direct light.
Overdose
There are none reported. Do not take medication in excess as there may be serious consequences.
